How far would you drive to eat?

How far would you drive to go eat in a restaurant?
Amend that to "How far would you drive to eat in a restaurant with your daughter?"
Amend that, "How far would you drive to eat in a restaurant with your daughter if you had to ride in Scott's truck?"
Scott and I left the house long enough for the dishwasher to do its whole "delay cycle" bit. 7.5 hours, apparently - exactly.
We went to Memphis Saturday just long enough to meet Lyn, eat, swap over care packages and a mattress, tour Jackson looking for Kroger, go to grocery in Dickson, and sit on I-40 for 20 minutes waiting on an accident to clear. Needless to say, it was a fast trip, but totally worth it.
It was well worth it to Aaron, who didn't get to come because he was busy. Studying. What can I say. I'm so proud. It was worth it to Aaron because he finally got to sleep on something besides a box spring. Poor kid hasn't had a mattress since Thanksgiving. I can't imagine it, but he says his 6'4", 360+lbs. frame slept like a rock on the twin bed box spring...must be all those years of sleeping on the ground camping.
The six hour drive wasn't too bad, considering. I knit the whole way. I couldn't drive...we were in the Bean!

  • What mothers won't do for love and daddy for little girls who have them wrapped around their little fingers?!?

  • I think that we are driving to Bon Aqua/Nashville to eat with our daughter and our friends (if it is ok with our friends???) on Feb 15. It is just something parents do.
