Still here

Just letting everyone know I'm still here. Going through the twice yearly bronchitis/laryngitis. Looking forward to enjoying the week through steriods currently. Three weeks of not breathing is getting old!
Enjoyed Thanksgiving with my kids, husband, dad, sister, brother, 2 nieces, sister-in-law, nephew-in-law.
Enjoying knitting a cashmere sweater vest for Aaron. It was going to be a wrap for me...Lyn told me the colors were too masculine. I got all the yarn for $10 - you can't get picky with colors for $10 cashmere!
Enjoying my two knitting groups. The Hand Belles have just about decided to make their group an outreach thru their church, so starting in January I may be the club leader of the Knitting Circle at the St. John's Lutheran Church.
Enjoying Scott doing lots of cooking while I've been puny. One evening, I got home at 4:00, took a nap till 5:30, ate supper, didn't do dishes, went to bed at 7:00, and got up to a clean kitchen the next morning. How's that for pampering? Every cloud has its silver lining!
Enjoyed reading that Tammy will be a grandmother! Do we get to have a grandparent name contest? I vote for Double Dad and Honey. Anyone remember Charles Brewer from Lip-scum? He was Double Dad. I always loved him. His grandchildren were childhood friends. We all called him that. Honey comes from Scott's aunt Judy. She kept her grandson when he was first learning to associate names and talk. Husband John has always called Judy honey. Thus, the grandmother name was born. Isn't that the sweetest thing? My brother will be Daddy Burkett to honor our grandfather - Daddy Bob. Daddy Tim and Mama Tammy isn't bad...but I can see Ta-mammy sneaking in there!
Everyone have a great week!

  • I think Scott gets Husband of the year award for taking such good care of you! Hooray, Scott!
    Hope you are feeling better!

Tim might like Double Dad for a name. Right now he's saying that he is too young to be called grandpa so the baby will have to call him Tim! I don't care what I get called as long as I'm enough a part of the baby's life so the he/she knows who I am!
