Fifty Years of Trying

As my birthday draws nearer and I begin to look back on the nearly half century of my life, there are some accomplishments I am truly proud to share.
I have a great husband, same one for nearly 28 years.
I have two bright, creative, Christian children.
I have completed several hours beyond my Master's degree.
Tonight, I have another goal I have finally attained.
I FINALLY WON AT MONOPOLY!!!!!

Quick update:
Gained a pound this week. Weigh again tomorrow.
Hope it snows tomorrow so I won't have to weigh.

Lyn and Aaron are home for spring break. My break starts the day after they leave.
Lyn and Aaron are in Nashville with Harding friends.

Scott is working weird hours. Scott is at home.
Scott is asleep in the den.

Pulled a muscle in my back coughing three weeks ago. I'm no longer coughing.
Now I can't sleep because of the pulled muscle in my back.
Finally found "magic elixir" which will let me sleep.
This morning, I overslept and woke up 5 minutes after I was supposed to leave home.
I drove like a Meatloaf album and was only 5 minutes late to work.

I'm at the half-way point knitting the afghan for my nephew and his bride.
They get married in less than 6 weeks. I've been knitting steadily for 8.

My dad is about to have his 87th birthday. His youngest child is about to celebrate 50.
I'm the youngest child...

When life puts the squeeze on you, find some lemons and make lemonade.
If you can't laugh at your own life, turn on the election news and laugh at the politicians!

Everyone have a better week than you had yesterday...Did Monday last longer than usual or necessary for anyone else?

Oh, I took off yesterday, didn't I? Well, OK then.
